I’m back from Europe! It was a blast and I’m already planning my next year’s trip! If you are interested in shooting pre-wedding in Paris and Belgium for 2009, call me now! Limited spaces!
We started our shoot in Bruges of Belgium, the Venice of the North, one of the few wholly medieval towns in the world. We had our best bread there, much better than Paris! And we also visited the Basilica of the Holy Blood, named after the Holy Relic believed to contain the blood of Jesus. What a trip!

gigi - The pictures and backdrop are nice!! The bride can really pose naturally!! The make up is too reflective and the hair can be more elaborated….. But overall still nice!!
Gabriel Mendes - Hi Joyce, I just emailed you the rates for next year’s trip. The bride’s gown shot at Belgium was purchased in Hong Kong. The rest of the gowns shot in France are designed by Vaughn Tan (http://www.vaughnt.com/).
Hi gigi, I can’t fault the makeup and hairstyle because they are all done by the bride herself. She specifically went to learn how to DIY hair & makeup for this trip. We are super stress on achieving the look, luckily it turns out well. I’m proud of her as she only learnt 3 sessions from the cosmetic counter and ready to “chiong” Paris!
GG - Any idea where she learnt her makeup and hair from?
Gabriel Mendes - Hi gg, she learn at those departmental store cosmetic counter where you buy products from them, they give you free personal makeup lessons. For hairstyle, she learnt from her AD makeup artist from Vaughn Tan, who taught her how to do full buns and half buns. It is a risky route which I don’t recommennd unless you already know how to do simple makeup yourself. If you want to learn, you can try this school http://www.the-makeuproom.com/ , taught by 2 very good makeup artists, Jyue Huey and Bobbie.

No worries, I already know basic makeup… almost at the intermediate level… but want to improve to get to “professional” level for my own daily makeup! =P Thanks dude! =)

Tess - Hi Gabriel, I’m Serene’s cousin. Think we met at her wedding. Anyway, kudos to the bride for looking so wonderful… Man, she can do my wedding makeup any day. I’m terrible at makeup (hardly wear any) so I guess I’d rather trust a makeup artist! 🙂 BTW, I just got engaged so we’re wondering on how long in advance do we have to book a session with you? Btw, we could be considering an Italy photo shoot if you have any ideas. The Versailles shot n carousal shot was marvelous. Love her dresses in those pics!
